We are an independent co-educational school for pupils aged 3-18, situated in the heart of Teesside on the banks of the River Tees.
We aim to provide a stimulating and inspiring education that is centered on the development of the whole child. Academic excellence and aspiration are key ingredients to this, but by no means what we believe fully prepares a child for adulthood and life beyond school.
We want our pupils to leave here ready for the challenges of the outside world, having fulfilled their academic potential and rounded with key people skills including the ability to value diversity, experienced through our inclusive ethos. The ability to form, develop and defend a set of values and beliefs also strengthens our pupils’ ability to effectively communicate with, and listen to, those around them.
We are proud of the range of opportunities that are offered here for all ages, but we are always looking to broaden these and introduce pupils to new activities and the shared passions and interests of our dedicated teaching staff.
We recently surveyed all of our current parents, and there were a number of positive qualities that they used to describe their experience of the school. I am proud to be Head of the School that they repeatedly called ‘nurturing, caring, friendly and welcoming’.
We have excellent transport links, we are a five-minute walk from Eaglescliffe train station, we offer extensive bus routes from Teesside and North Yorkshire, and are easily accessible from Yarm, Darlington, Middlesborough, and Hartlepool, to name but a few places, in the wider part of the region.
If you and your children would like to be a part of our community here, please do come and visit us and experience our atmosphere first hand. I cannot possibly do it justice through the stories and photos on this website alone.
